The difference between standard and reverse polarity RF connectors is small and subtle, but of utmost importance when it comes to your design. Watch the video below to learn how to tell them apart.
An IP (Ingress Protection) rating specifies the level of protection an RF connector has against the ingress of dust and water. See IP Rating Explained Guide
Details on IP testing for the dust and waterproof Nautilus cable assemblies can be found here.
Nautilus Coaxial Connectors are tested to the following specifications:
IP6x Dust tight – no particle ingress
IPx7 Waterproof for 30 minutes up to 1 meter underwater
IPx8 Waterproof for 48 hours at 1 meter underwater
IPx8 Waterproof for 12 hours at 5 meters underwater
IPx9K Waterproof against powerful high-temperature water jets (Stainless Steel Nautilus products only)
Pressure test – 1 bar = 14.5 PSI (pounds per square inch) for 10 seconds
There are 7 existing cable assemblies with this connector.
