It’s not quite the Raspberry Pi 4, but there is a new version available in the form of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ which was launched on ‘Pi Day’ March 2018.
With enhanced processor speeds at 1.4GHz, upgraded wireless performance and new features such as Power-over-Ethernet support (with separate PoE HAT) to name a few, the latest version certainly is a good improvement from its predecessor, for a small premium. Farnell, RS and Amazon are some of the great places where you can by your shiny new Raspberry Pi.
This is testament to the trusty USB1035, GCT’s dual USB type A connector, a popular choice due to its product quality and reliability, short lead times and competitive pricing. With more power and functionality being built into the Raspberry Pi, the versatility of the USB1035 as one of the primary I/O connections remains paramount.
We’re just happy to be a part of the latest and most powerful Raspberry Pi Model to date. As we look forward to Raspberry Pi 4 and further iterations down the line, who knows what connectors might appear on these units… USB Type-C? Nano Sim Connectors? PCB space is obviously at a premium so what would you like to see on them?
Whatever they might be, GCT have a comprehensive connector product line to support these innovations, see for yourself at gct.co.
