GCT further extends Nano SIM connector range with a first to market hinged variant with card detection switch.  The all new SIM8060 combines a compact footprint with secure locking lid and enhanced shock and vibration specifications.

When maximising the available space on a PCB, Nano SIM connectors are ideal.  But not all Nano SIM connector types can offer a secure and stable connection.  The SIM8060 features a locking lid to hold the Nano SIM card firmly in place.  This is in addition to an innovative, normally open card detect mechanism with split contact design, integrated with contact 5 (C5). The circuit is closed once a Nano SIM card is inserted.

The connector is tested to EIA-364-27 and EIA-364-28 standards giving it superior mechanical shock and vibration properties adding to its high performance credentials.
