IP67 RF Cable Assemblies with Isolated Bulkhead Connectors

GCT’s IP67 RF cable assemblies with isolated bulkhead connectors support sealed, panel-mounted RF connections where multiple RF channels need to pass through an enclosure while remaining electrically isolated.

The assemblies are available with RP-SMA, SMA and TNC bulkhead connector variants, with a wide variety of connector choices on the opposing end, such as MMCX plugs and jacks, I-PEX MHF1 and MHF4 plugs and SMA straight and right angle plugs. These options support practical RF routing between external antennas, enclosure panels, and internal wireless modules in compact or environmentally exposed equipment.

Each assembly is designed for 50 Ω RF systems, with frequency ratings up to 6 GHz. This makes the range suitable for wireless, telemetry, industrial IoT, monitoring, and communications applications where signal performance and environmental sealing need to be considered together.

The isolated bulkhead design helps keep RF interfaces electrically separated from the panel or enclosure. This can be useful in multi-channel systems where engineers need to reduce the risk of interaction between adjacent signal paths or prevent the enclosure from becoming part of the RF connection. For equipment using multiple antennas, radios, or measurement channels, this separation can support cleaner system layout and more controlled RF routing.

The IP67 rating provides protection against dust and water ingress at the external interface. GCT’s isolated RF cable assemblies are IP67 rated whether mated or unmated, helping protect the connector interface during installation, service, or periods where the external cable is temporarily disconnected. This can reduce the need for secondary sealing methods and helps keep the mating area clear of debris.

The bulkhead format also supports simpler panel integration. Engineers can route RF connections through an enclosure wall while keeping the internal connection compact, with MMCX and I-PEX options suited to PCB-mounted RF connectors and wireless modules.

Compatible protective caps are also available for applications where the external connector interface may be exposed between mating cycles.
