With devices demanding more power and faster charging capabilities GCT’s 48V, 5Amp, 240W rated USB Type-C connectors are a huge leap forward from previous 100W rating.
USB-PD allows devices to communicate with each other before transmitting and receiving power, so they can take and/or deliver only what is needed.
GCT’s 240W rated products are available in 16-pin and 24-pin formats to meet USB2.0 and USB3.2 Gen2 specifications respectively. Horizontal and vertical orientations are also available with multiple shell stake options to maximize PCB retention for popular PCB thicknesses.
