Vertical PCB mount USB Type-C plug - ideal for docking applications

GCT's USB4151 has exceptional integrity when mounted considering its small PCB footprint. The connector is reinforced with five shell stakes in addition to two locating pegs – a critical requirement when designing equipment for docking applications. Competing products in the market today have a large insulator base for stability, but come at the expense of a significantly larger footprint and higher unit price.

The new connector has all the great features of USB Type-C 3.2 Gen2, including data speeds up to 10Gbps, 5.0A current rating and a reversible form factor.

USB4151 can be paired with any of GCT’s vertical Type-C receptacles to create a complete solution for equipment utilizing a vertical orientation such as hand held scanners, wearable technology and docking stations.
